COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PAGE
CARING FOR SELF AND 'OHANA, GROWING THROUGH ADVERSITY, OWNING OUR FUTURE
This page provides information to stakeholders about our school's finances and operation for School Year
2017-18 via our Academic Plan and Comprehensive Financial Plan. Our School community Council (SCC), made up of principals, teachers,
staff, students, parents, and volunteer community members, helps to craft and approve these plans for the following school year.
An election is held annually to set membership on the SCC. If you're interested in joining our SCC, please contact the principal.

About Federal Title 1 Funding
These funds help all students by providing- training for teachers to keep them current and learn new material, assistance and support for parents, programs and equipment that affect the entire student body.
The Federal Government determines the amount of funding for the school based on the number of students who qualify for Free or Reduced lunch.
It is very important for all parents and guardians to complete the form in order to maximize the funding Konawaena receives.
Many parents do not complete the form because their student does not eat the meals the school provides, or for other reasons.
If you qualify, it is your decision whether you use the benefit, so please take the time to apply.
